Established in 2020, M.T.C.U.’s main goal is to connect and empower the Maltese Seafaring Community forming it.

This brings about sharing of information regarding working arrangements and eventually for bargaining the CBAs.

In turn, this helps the Seafaring Community, both private and public sector to achieve better standards of formation following the international instruments set by STCW, Local C.V. Regulations (2002) and better working conditions as per MLC guidelines.

Since we are tailored for the Seafaring Community, all members and executives have a good grasp and personal insight of the Seafaring World, unlike other Unions in Malta.

Bringing the Seafaring Community together creates strength in numbers and in turn manages to take some of the load off the shoulders of its members who already have a lot to deal with on a day to day basis.
