M.T.C.U. is the next generation Union, where the General Secretary and President are figureheads, whereas the Union Representatives are the main drive. This new concept gives more Representative power to the members of each department.

M.T.C.U. strives to better and safeguard the working conditions of its members, which have been represented by non-seafaring personnel for far too long. This tailored union caters to the local Maritime Sector since we understand the needs of fellow Seafarers.
About Us
Established in 2020, M.T.C.U.’s main goal is to connect and empower the Maltese Seafaring Community forming it.
This brings about sharing of information regarding working arrangements and eventually for bargaining the CBAs.
In turn, this helps the Seafaring Community, both private and public sector to achieve better standards of formation following the international instruments set by STCW, Local C.V. Regulations (2002) and better working conditions as per MLC guidelines.
